Dear Pontchartrain Elementary Families,

Welcome to a brand-new school year at Pontchartrain Elementary School! Whether you're joining us for the first time or returning for another year of learning and growth, we are thrilled to have your family as part of our PES community.

I am incredibly proud to share some exciting news that reflects the hard work of our students, teachers, and families. Pontchartrain Elementary is currently the highest-performing elementary school in 3rd grade ELA and Math LEAP 2025 scores—a testament to the dedication and excellence that define our school community. In addition, 86% of our students are performing at or above benchmark levels based on our end-of-year DIBELS literacy assessment, and 100% of our returning students demonstrated literacy growth last year. These achievements are something we should all celebrate!

While we take pride in these accomplishments, we also know that continued success depends on strong relationships between school and home. My vision for Pontchartrain Elementary is one where students are not only high-achieving, but also kind, confident, and supported in every aspect of their development. This year, we are committed to growing our students both academically and socially by building a culture of belonging, resilience, and leadership.

Pontchartrain Eagles are educated in both mind and in heart ensuring that every student is taught to read and write and also inspired to lead, serve and do what is right.
